I found out my Passion is Green !

You guys may feel awkward by reading the blog’s title thatmy passion is “Green” lol. It seems weird but this is true because the color green represent my beloved country “Pakistan”. Someone maybe passionate about photography, journalism or dancing etc, but not all of them are willing to serve their talent for their homeland.

I’m now 17 and enthusiastic about multiple things but what my real  passion is to devote every single bit of my talent to raise the Green Flag high in the sky. Resembling me, there are hundreds of young talents out there who are dreaming to make Pakistan proud but some are such great Icons, the contributions of whom are speechless and they’d left no stone unturned to portray the positive image of Pakistan globally. They inspired many souls and with their actions proved that Pakistan own the most shining and passionate youth then any other country has. Here I’ll discuss my experience how I found that my passion is green 🙂

Few days back, I was invited in  launching ceremony of “Mera Passion Pakistan” in Lahore” organised by  Google’s Badar Khushnood, in which talented bloggers across Pakistan were being  invited to breathe the air of positivity,  and to praise the stories of some extraordinary national heroes. The launching named Netizens Meet-up. Its motto was ” Achi baat, Achi Soch, Acha Amal“, which creates a positive mindset indeed.  Unfortunately, I missed almost half of the event because  timings of the bus I took weren’t favorable for the it lol :D. Luckily my cousin was already there who told me all the happenings in a nut-shell later on. Finally I reached the launching spot (Bistro restaurant), conducted registrations along with chilled red-bull ;D, welcomed warmly, as I stepped-up in the hall, saw 6 proud Pakistanis receiving huge standing ovation by the room. I was being astonished and starting wondering what would the actually had done. There was an individual and 2 groups of teachers and Wright brothers I should say.

Among them was a boy named Asad Mahmoud who had built the 6th largest telescope of Pakistan through his own means. It was worth only 25k. But proudly he confirmed that now after making his first telescope, he can make the same one worth 10k. Now that’s his passion for science and for his country that he had given his level best to become h first telescope-builder of Pakistan . Haven’t seen such science enthusiast before.

Following him, were the most inspiring group of people I’ve ever met. They were three students ( two boys and a girl) from IBA Sukker. They decided to step-forward  the most difficult task; to teach the poor children. As floods strucked Pakistan badly, and millions of affectees lost their homes and the loved ones, they were also berated from food and schools to get themselves educated. Camps were the only shelter left for them. These guys starting teaching them regularly and invested their own pocket money at the first stage. They didn’t ask any downer to donate them and help them out by providing more teachers and school stuff for the children. They were the only three souls who took this responsibility and now they renowned across Pakistan for their honest working. I talked to the group personally and straightaway asked the question intriguing me ” How you guys managed it alone, why you didn’t ask the government or a downer to help you guys?”  The girl from them explained that “That is the amazing thing, that we didn’t wait for any one to back us. We helped ourselves, that’s why we’re being hugely  by all you today” she also added that “As our backgrounds resemble their’s , so we knew the importance of education for these children because they have eager to learn and make Pakistan’s future bright”. In a nut shell, the three of them expressed the care for humanity and the importance  of education in our society. I’m truly inspired by them, the real national heroes of our country.

At the end were the Qazi brothers of Pakistan. Yes, they truly deserve to be named as Wright Brothers because with their creativity and innovation they built their own version of plane using bamboo and a Suzuki engine, which can reach the altitude of 16000ft. This glider could be useful in the floods situation and in supervising traffic. Generally the pilot (Qazi Tufail) was inspired by a plane he saw in 60’s bond films. Qazi brothers had a little protest  for Ababeel Sports Flying Club which is disclosed by the current government.

We watched some documentaries of these people, Mr.Fazli covered all the stories comprehensively. The host Mr.Irfan conveyed some motivational speeches which up-lifted the patriotism of everyone. All the heroes discussed above were awarded the cash-prize of 10k each.

Some other motivating people like Harris Nadeem ( The Most successful young blogger) and Ghalib Khalil (Pakistan’s Peace champion) were  also introduced later on and were highly appreciated. I believe that MPP has taken a worthy initiative to promote positivity among youth but I’m still waiting for their updated  website.

The reason to discuss my experience of MPP launching was that there are still so many people who are devoting their skills and talent for their country and promoting a sense of positivity in out society. In the event, I met many people who uplifted my confidence to move forward and find what is my real passion. That day for the first time I realized that though my passion is photography and other stuff but my real Passion Pakistan. At the end I have to serve my services to Pakistan, live for Pakistan and die for Pakistan. I can’t use my talent for personal benefits. Its 2011, and Pakistan is suffering so much already but still no one own a sense of patriotism. Every one value personal benefits. “Ab khud kuch karna pare ga”, this phrase is specially for the youngsters because if we don’t make a stand for out country today, no one will. I’m not intended to point out someone but just want you guys to realize that the time is here  to smoke the air of positivity in our society. that  like MPP, may other conducted more meet-ups like this to uplift the youth that’s been circled by frustration and anger. Hope that Pakistan prosper in every field of life. Inshallah.

“Yes” Together we are the solution

Well when we talk about ethnicity in Pakistan, there’s always a negative response from people residing in different ethnic regions. Witnessing our elders the Y-generation also caught up by the ethnic fire  and it burnt their harmonic feelings for each other. They’re forced to do riots for the sake and respect of their particular regions. Not many governmental or non governmental organizations aren’t taking such initiatives  to bring youth from different shades of culture under a single umbrella. Youth’s energy is not channelized to work as a unit.

Channan Development Association (CDA) in collaboration with Y-peer Pakistan and Punjab government  arranged Asian Youth Conference and Peace festival 2011 in Lahore, which I believe is one of the major initiative took by Young people of Lahore and across Pakistan . National Delegates (from across Pakistan), including me ;) , Speakers (across Pakistan) and International delegates (across Asia) were invited to gather and talk about peace. To spread love. And to eradicate all the hatred that we’ve taken in our hearts for each other since a long time. The event was based on the theme “Together we are the solution” as I named the blog on this theme.

It was three day fun and interactive festival .Many noted personalities and inspiring speakers accompanied including Ali Moeen, Sarmad Tariq, Amara Anwar, Usman Shahid, Umair Jaliawala, Nazia Ramzan and many Asian young models .I personally interacted with the people of Lahore, Karachi, Hyderabad, Peshawar, Quetta , Islamabad, Gilgit and almost people from every region. I felt very much common among ourselves, and the common thingy was that we all belong to one nation Pakistan. At that time no one was Sindhi, Balochi, Pakhtun or Punjabi. We get to know so much about the cultures of each other and even we had interaction activities and workshops in festival.

I never knew anything about the people of Gilgit, just knew that its Pakistan’s paradise. Never wandered of how talented and passionate they are. I met and heard some gilgitis and they simply inspired me. Even there are not much awareness, and there is lack of education since there not much schools and colleges there, but the youth of Gilgit is taking equal part in political and social activies.

Cultural night was conducted on the second day of the event. Basically it was a concert of noted musicians which turned out into a Cultural night at the end. Experienced the real importance of Pakistani culture. On one side I was extremely overwhelmed to come by variety of colours, dresses and songs depicting different cultures including Punjabis, Sindhis, Balochis, Pakhtuns, and Gilgitis. On the other side I was grieving inside because we have forgotten our identities by ignoring our culture. We’re strayed by the bright colours of western culture. In a while we just lost ourselves. We over leaped our own culture. I also have no identity because I don’t follow my customs any more. One of the major factors of why Pakistani youth facing problems is that there aren’t much awareness among them to revive our customs back. So I believe it was a great initiative took by CDA

I was a little bit sad on the third day because I didn’t want the event to end. In such tough time as Lahore was all caught up by Dengue and viral infections, the delegates showed up and came to the festival. team of CDA, volunteers and executive committee gave their level best even in the chewy time. It really seemed to me that ” Yes together we are the solution”. All of us gathered on a single platform, danced , sung, questioned-answered, and left with tons of memories. Hats off all the young people who organized such an event. I hope to witness such festivals in the near future, and we will make peace instead of war among us Inshallah .

Defence Day: Saluting bravery 46 years on

Pakistan Defence Day Karachi

Today is September 6 which is marked to pay homage to those courageous soldiers who martyred fighting for the defence of their homeland. Yet now, these soldiers had left no stone unturned in sacrificing there lives for eradicating terrorists from our country. But if we take a brief look on our condition today, then we’ll come to know that in all these years army integrated people from different regions into a  knotted family, why have our politicians failed to do the same ??

Our nation is divided on the basis of interests, regions, activities and Firqas. We lost most of our country by just ignoring unity among us, and we learnt none of the lessons from those martyrs who stood like a unified wall till the end of the war. Unfortunately, we proudly celebrate Defence Day but we never look upon on those struggles which were put by our soldiers to defend our homeland. And we still express negativity for our country. We never think why this day is considered so important to Pakistan’s History, the reason is that  they never loosed hope, they fought like brave lions, and stood like the strongest barrier in front of the enemy, and they made the Green flag rise high. They set up a perfect instance for our youth.

These are the lessons we should learn from them and the day we’ll realize their importance, then the enemies that are looking down us will step back. The reason for writing this blog post is not to criticize people although many of us don’t know what happened on September 6th , which I feel very unfortunate.I just want us to realize the worth of this day and bring it into reality. And we will do it Insh’allah. I still Hope Pakistan . Do you?

6th Drive became adventurous – Iftari for poors

Ramazan in Pakistan is tough. There are those who fast and pray. There are those who fast,  pray and feed the poor. There are those who fast, pray and are fed as they are poor. This is Ramazan in Pakistan. I’m the one who tried to feed the poor.

Before Ramazan started, me and my cousin (Ghalib Khalil) were planning to start a Social project. We had an idea of starting a project regarding Ramazan. So without wandering of anything else, we planned to to serve Iftari to needy this whole month. We named the project “Iftari for poor” started with collaboration of Rescue Pakistan Youth Foundation.Though it seemed difficult that time but Mash’allah we as a team conducted 6 Drives and served almost 500 (poor, orphans) till now.

Yesterday we had our 6th drive, which I should call the most adventurous experience ever. It rained heavily. The streets were muddy and our route was tough to drive through. I wasn’t too much convinced to conduct that drive but the dedication of our team volunteers led us to the spot. The spot itself was poverty stricken-ed, the people there lived in tents and their earning is much less to fill the tummies of their infants with good food.

When we reached there, we all were like OMG !! What is this? Rain ruined it all. Streets were muddy. There wasn’t a space to step up and walk through. It was an EPIC scene. A thought came in my mind that we’re getting  obsessed  by only seeing this, how these people manage and live such stressed LIFE??, this thought pulled our spirits high. Though the route was filthy but it wasn’t enough to obstruct us from serving Iftari packs to every home. And we did the same as we thought, the Iftari packs were served to every single home and we left no stone unturned .

Muddy way

Distribution was the best part. It was fun, memorable, adventurous and damn tough too. It was more than seeing is believing. Some had there Sandals broken. Some one was slipped in the mud and some one was making merry of not getting slid.

Those scenes are unforgettable for us and this drive thought us there is still HOPE, and that hope is “us”. We can still change the course of Pakistan. There maybe thousands of hurdles in-front of us but if “We” want to unite our country then no other power would be able to tear us down. There are million ways to Love Pakistan but first find your way how you will love Pakistan. I Hope Pakistan. Do you?

15 deeds would do !!

The First “Ashra” of  the Holy Ramzan has ended and we have entered into the second “Ashra” Mash’allah. Its seems like Ramzan is fleeing away quickly from us and I hope I had availed every single chance that Allah has given me to “shun” my sins. I tried to be a better Muslim and performed prayers and the best of “deeds” through out the first Ashra , and may Allah shower His blessing over me and guide me a right direction throughout the whole Ramzan

Today was 15th roza so i thought to share these life changing deeds

1. Sitting after Fajr remembering Allah until sunrise.

2. A house in Jannah for praying 12 Sunnah each day.

3. Attending lectures in the Masjid.

4. Visiting a sick Muslim.

5. Providing food for breaking the fast.

6. Standing in prayer on Laylatul Qadr.

7. Always recite this while shopping:

Laa ilaha illallah wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu yuhyi wa yumeetu wa huwa hayyun laa yamoot, bi yadihil khair, wa huwa ‘ala kulli shayin qadeer’

8. That Which Shall Have no Equal on the Day of Resurrection, whoever says this phrase one hundred times in a day:

“La ilaha illal-lah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahu-l-mulk wa lahu-l-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shai’in qadir,”

 9. Asking Allah to forgive ALL Muslims.

10. Recite “Subhanllahi wa bi hamdih” to seek forgiveness from Allah.

11. Recite “Subhanallah” to earn 100 thousand good deeds in 2 mins

12. Recite this phrase to be pleased on the Day of Resurrection:

“Radheetu billaahi Rabban, wa bil-’Islaami deenan, wa bi-Muhammadin (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallama) Nabiyyan”

13. Recite these phrases on a heavy scale

Subhan-Allah wa bihamdihi, ‘adada khalqihi, wa rida-a nafsihi, wa zinatah ‘arshihi, wa midada kalimatihi “

14. And do must recite this treasure of Paradise

15. The Beautiful supplication for seeking forgiveness (Syed-ul-Istighfar) is to say:

Allahumma Anta Rabbi, la ilaha illa Anta, khalaqtani wa ana `abduka, wa ana `ala `ahdika wa wa`dika mastata`tu, a`udhu bika min sharri ma sana`tu, abu‘u laka bini`matika `alayya, wa abu‘u bidhanbi faghfir li, fa innahu la yaghfirudh-dhunuba illa Anta.

So friends  what an amazing opportunity we have in this blessed month to gain such closeness to Allah as well as his mercy & forgiveness of our past & present sins.

Therefore the time to prepare for the Hereafter is NOW as we may not have a tomorrow. What better time to make lifetime changes than to do so in the most blessed of months – Ramzan.

May Allah enable me and you guys to maximize each & every precious second of Ramzan & may he make it a salvation for us in the Hereafter. Ameen

30 Days will make a difference !!!

Salam Ramadan

Allah Almighty is very kind and merciful towards its mankind. He always offers chances to us on little things so that we repent ourselves. He doesn’t want us to fall for the evils. This is the real greatness and love of Allah for His people that no one other has. Month of Holy Ramadan is another chance that Allah has given us to repent ourselves, to repair our bodies and souls.

As we know that Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic Calendar. It’s the holiest in all. Muslims all over the world keep fast for about 13 to 18 hours each day and try to restrain themselves from fighting, drinking, smoking, abusive language etc. Fasting is not meant only with our stomach or drying our throats, it is with our hands, tongue, eyes, heart, brain, feet and in fact every part of our body. Generally Fasting is the “fight’ between our body and soul.

In Pakistan, first “Roza” will be on 2nd August and my Ramadan spirit is getting stronger and stronger as the days passing. As our Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said When Ramadan arrives the gates of heaven are thrown open and the gates of the fire (hell) are slammed shut, and the devils are shackled.” Al-Bukhari and Muslim Shareef. Subhanallah. This forces us to get rid of our regular sins that we used to do, in little easy way. EASY WAY? Yes, Ramadan is coming, It is a month in which Allah almighty gave us internal strength, courage, power to become a better man and be a better Muslim. Isn’t it an easy way?

We are very lucky yes! we are very lucky that Allah gave us chance again to perform prayers, keep fasts in yet another Ramadan. It’s a gifted month and loot sale of good deeds. So try to collect as many good deeds as possible and try to make yourself clean from all kind of sins. May Allah guide us a right direction and forgive our sins. Please pray for all the humanity in this world, hopefully with grace of this month, Allah Almighty give us the best as they think for us.
